Aww thanks.
I've spent the last 24-30 hours talking perpetually-depressed-and-defeatist democrat friends off ledges. It's been endless doom and gloom. "We lost Florida, it's all over oh no" and so on. Every single thing. "Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota are all red!" So I've just been trying to get everyone to step back, breathe, have some perspective. We got this. Sure it's not The Great Blue Tsunami people fantasized about.
But Trump right now is, reportedly, sullen and down as he realizes he's losing and all his ratfuckery efforts are failing. He's threatening lawsuits that his lawyers aren't even filing ("they're more like political statements than legal papers" reported the PA AG). The Secret Service has enacted a no-fly zone over where Biden's victory celebration is planned. Because they know.
Ohio elected an openly lesbian sheriff... to replace the sheriff who fired her for being lesbian. Oklahoma - OKLAHOMA - elected a non-binary muslim to state legislature. Vermont elected a transgender state legislator. Biden is going to win with probably more than 80 million votes. That's astonishing.
We're moving the right direction. Not as fast as some of us want. But there's a lot of good to be found in the last 24 hours.
