I just noticed that the rtx 3060's have released and are already sold out.  Just a reminder to myself about how lucky I got.

Yep. You somehow stepped on a leprechaun basically.  ;D

I have friends that are at the point where they will take 3060/3070/3080, doesn't matter which, and still can't land one despite all the stuff I mentioned a while back - multiple discords, store pages auto-refreshing/notifying, etc. It's just stupid.

And the AMD 6xxx cards are no better.

I got a promo email from Newegg for the 3060s yesterday I think.  I went to the site to see how much they were and they were all sold out.  They were also advertising a pre-order for a pre-built system by ABS with a 3060 RTX 8GB, i7, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD for $1300.

Jesus, how long until video cards are affordable again?  I'm not even talking about the nvidia 3000 series cards, which are impossible to get unless you are Sssith or Pixie.  Stupid tariffs.  I have a nvidia gtx 970 and it is doing fine, but I would like to upgrade eventually.

You mean you didn't sell your soul to get the latest video card?

A bit funny that this thread got posted in today.  Last night I let the latest windows upgrade install.  Today my computer wouldn't start.

I finally zeroed out my OS HD and reinstalled Windows 10.  What a pain in the ass.  I am still not even a quarter back up.  Just got the latest W10 version on and graphics drivers installed.

I checked amazon again today and a MSI GTX 1660 is over $600.  WTF that is freaking nuts!

Glad you got your computer running again Geoff.  Sorry to hear about your Cyberpunk saves.

Yeah...that was a bit of a bummer.

My build was rolf-stomping the hardest difficulty.  Tech weapons are a bit OP.  I was almost at the end of the game to.  Ah well.

Welp, I have to RMA my 3080. One of the fans has given up the ghost. /sigh/

On the bright side, EVGA was quick to respond and approve the RMA and they are cross-shipping me a new 3080 by next-day air.

Sweet.  Nothing like customer service that actually does a good job.

Lately I have awful experiences with LG and Netgear.

That is really odd.  Sorry to hear it.  Do you have another computer to plug it into to see?  Probably not given the power needs.
