I think they are in a hurry so they can get back to grinding hundreds of runs for loot in Borderlands 3.

Well PC might be shitting itself .. might have to see if i can keep going on a laptop. Its randomly freezing up and restarting like it did about a year ago. Last 8 or 9 months had been great performance and no problems. Wonder if the PSU is the problem. Last time I changed the graphics card from a big beast that had multiple connectors and a fan to a fanless small thing ..
Its coming up 10 years old now ..

Well pc is currently going. Half life 2 finished. And ep1. I’m stopping for the night at white Forrest. I was surprised some of the smaller details I’d completely forgotten such as stealing the data in ep1 and that’s why they were being hunted so much.
Next time will wrap up ep2. I don’t want it to be over content wise and what happens.
However black Mesa is now at a beta so I can get the last achievements. I’ve got 2 down already and up to office complex. It bugs me that “I know wheee to go” but can’t remember the fine details they changed from 3 months ago in my one play through.
I made a list of the achievements and rough order so I won’t need to much replaying.
Looks like the completely new decay will be last for me

Man that ending of half life 2 ep2. I found it hard to walk into that room knowing what would happen. And also that it’s the end of Gordon for now.
Blew through portal 1. That escape segment has some quite confusing bits. Looking forward to portal 2

Portal 1 has such great moments and puzzles. I might have to redo it.
Portal 2 is really good but P1 came out of nowhere to blow us all away.

The good thing is Portal is so quick. The first half of the test chambers are all just tutorials. Later they get a bit harder but depending what you remember nothing is impossible.

Portal 2 finished. A few of them I had to have a look around as I’d forgotten key points.
Back into black Mesa pushing for the new achievements

Is Black Mesa just a full upgrade or does it include new stuff?

New stuff as in it’s not the exact maps with higher textures. Some maps they have some of the bigger set pieces but on between they just get really creative. Half life 1 might have had just a wall. Black Mesa that same area could have a whole new room to go into with a lot of detail.
Of some landmarks then it’s completely different stiff in the middle where you don’t recognise what it is till you hit another landmark.
Zen levels are almost my completely redone from scratch. On a rail was shortened and changed and people thought the original went on too long.
So imagine an interesting mixture of playing a brand new game. Then seeing something up ahead and getting and idea what will happen. Or what could happen. Mix of nostalgia and new is good.

So I had a dream, borderline nightmare, of being in the Half-Life universe and desperately looking for my crowbar. I blame Timmeh.
