Patch 2.6.5
« on: April 01, 2019, 08:47:35 PM »
Looks like Blizz is doing a PTR for the new patch soon. I saw a YouTube video with some of the highlights
and it sounds interesting. New Torment levels 14-15-16, new items, changes in existing items and sets.
I also heard that legendary items drop rate to increase, more death breath drops and some other cool stuff.

Maybe it will draw more people back to playing again??

The strategy to only buff without nerfs is a bit boring. Makes sense for new torment settings but T16 surely wonít be too hard for a geared character,

Iíd want some challenges or new stuff. Items in general arenít too exciting. You can force anything to drop

Agree with Tim.

Higher Torments are way overdue, so it's about time we got them. A new set for every class would be nice, perhaps one day..

Five more stash tabs and a search option!

Anyone check out the PTR yet? I've been playing Grim Dawn but I'll be back to D3 soon enough.

Things I Like:
  • Torment 14, 15, and 16 have been added to the game
  • Using an Ancient or Primal Puzzle Ring in Kanaiís Cube will produce a new result
  • Additional stash space has been added for all players
  • Sageís Set
Now doubles the amount of Deathís Breaths that drop
  • Akkhanís Leniency
Each enemy hit by your Blessed Shield increases damage of your Blessed Shield by 15-20% 75-100% for 3 seconds
  • Blessed Shield ricochets to 6 additional enemies and has its damage increased by 225-300% 300-400%
Most of the other changes are minor or not going to affect me.

Honestly though, buffing LoN to 750% just feels.....lazy.

With all the changes though, I think I will run with a Blessed Shield LoN Crusader for Season 17. Probably HC.

This.  Rebalancing things is fine, and preferred for me.  Just making things more powerful, or more likely to drop, etc., only increases the power creep, which is ridiculous now and has been for a while.

I think LoN was already buffed in the last patch to 750%

Ahh you're correct, my misunderstanding. I understand why they needed to buff it last patch, as sets got decent buffs. Seems like it will be a global buff for next season.

Season 16 Grandeur buff was interesting for experimentation but a straight global buff for using ancients doesn't inspire change, just doing the same things quicker/easier and pushing higher GRs.

Means I can maybe get the journey done quicker to get the rewards, but honestly didn't mind the grind that much.

Patch is live now.

EDIT:  OK, I don't have any extra stash tabs (still have 12), andddd it seems like you can only get an 1 extra in seasonal play now.  From the patch notes: "The cap for earning additional stash tabs through the Season Journey has been raised from 4 to 5 (PC Only)".

This makes me think we can only get one more stash tab, which FUCKING SUCKS.  Why the hell is it so hard to give more stash space?  What a joke.

I think they said too many extra stash tabs was slowing down the server too much. I did play the Sage set
and getting 617 DB's is kind of cool. (you can use the Inna's set and have the sage set up too.) Torment 24-16 is cool
and I definitely see more Leg drops. The new season should be fun, starts on Friday.

Yep, that was the reasoning. I was hoping to get the 5 free tabs in one fell swoop, but I guess I'll take what I can get at this point.

I'm looking forward to the new season, and the snazzy new wings you can get for completing the entire journey.

What are people rolling to start? I keep flipping back and forth between DH and monk. I'll probably go monk since the free set will be a quicker bounty runner for me initially (although harder to gear for).

I'll probably be dragging one of my IRL friends around (Fett) at season start.

I'm going to start on EU then switch to America when it goes live.

Ran some Torment XVI Rifts last night, and a few more this morning.  I like it.

I'm assuming most of us have characters that blow through T13 Rifts and literally only do it for the GR tokens, so having higher Torment levels available is fine with me.  I noticed that yellow dudes can drop four Death's Breaths now instead of three, drop rates are higher, etc.  All good.  Might as get more goodies and/or crafting materials.

Haven't tried Bounties yet at higher Torments.  Spent most of my time integrating my Seasonal stuff.

Thinking of maybe sitting out this Season, now that there's actually a few things I can do in non-Seasonal to push my characters.

I need to venture in to T16 over the next couple of days. Of course after playing stash Tetris, I'm probably going to spend half my time looking for the best gear to run said rifts. Looking forward to trying out multishot and Tal Rasha in T16, though!
