Games resolution question
«

So on my coming laptop, from youtube videos it looks like, in general, games get 30 FPS on 1080p at low to medium settings, and 60+ FPS at 768p at high to ultra settings.
Which looks better, higher setting and frames or higher resolution?

Could vary by game. Try it both ways and see what you like better. A lot of it is going to come down to AA, imo. I would rather have the higher settings at lower res and make up the difference with anti-aliasing, but if that ends up being too performance demanding, then the higher res and lower settings would be my choice. Because more than almost anything else, I can't stand jaggy edges.

Tearing is the deal breaker for me. Which is controlled by Vsync. From there I would agree with Pixie.
