Yep, with Reigns it may be a porn based game.

So I got a hc barb to level 12 or so before I died.

Started a get with a DH.  I am currently level 46.

I started with regular questing until I killed the Butcher.  Then I started in on Act 1 bounties.  Just cleared an Act 2 bounty.  After I pass fifty I will think about Act 3.

Question - I am looking at builds for my DH.  So many of them do not use hatred generators.

This is the top build if I am looking at things correctly: https://us.diablo3.com/en/profile/hoopy-11120/hero/108026094

Not only do I not see any hatred generation but it as the Aquila Curiass equipped.  How the hell does that work?

That is an Impale DH, lot's of fun if you want to kill mainly elites.

The build generates hatred through the use of it's weapon which has the unique property of returning 15 hatred for every enemy you impale that you have already impaled. Through clever use of a couple of different runes on the skill impale, you will hit multiple targets with every shot of impale - provided there are enough enemies around you - and you will generate more hatred than the cost of each impale.

I've used this build quite a bit and it's a tough build and the main build I use for HC - but - you have to keep the various defensive buffs active otherwise, you will die suddenly. Best at Greater Rifting. You hit one enemy with 75,000% weapon damage every time you throw impale, so you can kill anything fast, but one at a time. It is meant to be played as a vault to elite, kill him, vault to next elite, kill him, etc. Very fast play style. It becomes so powerful it doesn't work well in T13 because you one shot everything and you don't get to impale enough things a second time to continue generating hatred.

I also use the Multi shot UE set for HC and it's fun, allows you to stay way back from danger and you can proceed cautiously killing everything from range. Pretty tough build, easy to play and you kill sreenfuls of enemies at a time. Very fun and best for Torment level farming.

At the beginning of this season I used the Nats/Marauder 6/4 piece combo and the main damage dealers are the Sentries so you again get to stay back away from danger and have the added bonus of having all pets at all times. The pets not only tank and give a number of passive benefits, but they also give a range of active solid benefits on a 30 sec cooldown timer. Super effective skill for this build. I came away from it with the idea it might be the best DH HC build. I'm playing SC atm, but when I return to HC, I will definitely try one of these. It's a little more work than the UE Multishot, but if you're young and looking to be active you'll like it.

Edited for speling adn grmmer

Thanks.  I have taken DH to upper levels but a long time ago.  And HC is another thing.  The combo Nat/Marauder sounds interesting. I will have to look up Multi shot UE as I have no clue on that one.

Play a Unhallowed Essence (UE) DH.  It destroys an entire screen of bad guys fast.  Get a Yang's Recurve bow and the Dead Man's Legacy quiver and you will be set.  Cluck had some nice tips for you.

HC in D3 is actually pretty easy, compared to HC in other games.  It used to be pretty tough, but the past few years it has gotten easier.  Just put diamonds in your armor sockets, put an amethyst in your helm, always use the cheat death passive, and use the mystic to roll yellow gear mods to vit or armor as you level up.  Also, stay back and don't rush forward too fast.  Most of the deaths I've had in D3 HC were due to my stupidity or losing the game connection.  Now, when you start pushing high GR's, like that Salem (syn) fellow, that is when it gets tough! ;)

You can do it Geoff!  We are rooting for you!! :P

I've actually decided to play this season.  Went with a Barbarian and starting to build up towards a HOTA set.  Currently working at around Torment X which I think is further than I've ever got before.

Well I have finished Chapter 1.  Something, it seems, most players finish in half an hour.  Speed is picking up a bit.  Looking forward to getting to 70.

N6M4 is probably the safest pushing HC DH build. You won't be speeding through the rifts, but you'll get through them safely.  ;D

I'm doing very well in SC and having a blast. I made the switch from Sunwuko WoL to Inna's WoL and ran a quick T13 rift and finished it before realizing I hadn't equipped any of my legendary gems. So the Inna's WoL set is indeed very strong! And I am a moron.

I'm going to gear up a support monk next, so please feel free to grab me for some support or DPS fun if you need a little sketchy company!

On the Switch front, my barbarian is only level 10. I haven't leveled a barb in quite a while, so the slog to 70 is going to be very slow...and hopefully fun once better gear becomes available. The Switch seems to be stingier when it comes to early gear, but it picks up eventually.

Happy hunting out there!

I've played D3 more in the past week than I've played in well over a year.  I'm playing a hardcore jade harvester witch doctor.  I am close to paragon 300 and I'm missing only a couple of pieces of gear.  I've cleared a GR45 pretty easily, but I need a sacred harvester weapon before I go much higher than that.

Sounds like everyone playing this season is having fun so far.

I've been having fun. The new power tweaks are making leveling super fast.  My goal this season was to hit a GR 100 and I accomplished that a couple of days ago on Europe. I started with a DH using N6M4 and switched to UE when I had the pieces. Leveled for awhile - including a GR 90 - until I had the Shadow pieces and went to 100 very fast. Just missed a 102 by 3 seconds after being killed by the RG. Paragon 500ish, no augments, only a few pieces of ancient gear.

Started a Monk on NA and she's already completed a GR 65. Looking forward to GR 70 at least today.
