Since Demon Hunter is my favorite class, I've been thinking about trying the N6M4 build, which should be easier with Grandeur built-in.

Unfortunately, I've checked out three or four guides and none of them agree on which pieces make up the N6M4 build.

Can anyone here recommend an N6M4 build that they've actually tried and can comment on?

Thanks!  I love you all.

I think the point is that you can switch out any of the pieces that overlap.  The ones that don't overlap are the mandatory ones.  So if you have the gloves from both sets choose the one that is more powerful.

Not sure that I should be giving advice since my HC n6m4 just died.  I switched back to n6m4 after playing around with multishot.  The n6m4 being tankier was the reason why.  I think I forgot to reequip the Zoey's belt because I went down hard.  Ah well.  It was fun while it lasted.

You forgot to equip? Are you aware of the armoury?

Yeah...I am aware of the armory.  I had a bunch of duplicates so I was doing it manually trying to figure out the best combo of stuff.  The belt is not one of the items that I was looking at.

As Sssithly mentioned, any combination of parts that will get you up to the N6M4 will work. Use the best pieces with the best rolls and you'll be good. Make sure to have some gear with reduced resource costs, because N6M4 chews through the pool like no tomorrow.

I finally had an ancient Nat's crossbow drop last night, so I'll be trying out this build I used a couple seasons ago:
D3 DH N6M4 Build – Season 14 (hopefully it is still functional)

Thanks for the tips, guys!  Topaz in the Helm, eh?  Makes sense if the build is as resource-hungry as it sounds.

Wondering about the Frostburns in the Cube.  I use Reaper's Wraps in the Cube sometimes if I don't have room to wear them.  Moot at this point, since I don't have enough Marauder pieces to do this yet, but this sounds like an interesting build.

I have a Necro on PC that I am playing from time to time.

On the PS4 I am busy with Horizon: Zero Dawn.  Which is pretty good.

It is a very powerful build, but much slower than Impale or Multishot. It's a lot of fun, except when you are in rifts with lots of small rooms. Then it is agonizingly slow, at least to me.

Frostburns are in the cube for damage, but you could easily swap them out for Reapers if you like.

I think I had Garulf (sp) Cloak in the cube.  That might be for a tankier HC build.

I'll probably end up trying both, once I have all the equipment.

Yeah, the top of the leaderboards are running N6M4 with fire, and Cloak of the Garwulf in the cube.

I completed a 97 with the combo, but man was it slow. None of my gear is augmented, so there's definitely room for improvement.

I think I'll do some speed 75s with UE until I get a nice boost in gear to the other sets, plus I can level some gems for augmenting.

I managed to put together an N6M4 last night.  I forgot about the Cloak of the Garwulf and recycled it instead of cubing it.  I cubed some Reaper's Wraps instead.

Pretty fun.  It's a very "active" build; you gotta hit them buttons and stay on top of things to keep the buffs up and the monsters down.  She's specializing in Cold right now.  That might change, might not.

I don't care about scoring high on the Leader Boards or having the build that kills the fastest.  I care whether or not it's fun to play.  Sometimes staying on top of things and seeing what the build can do is fun; sometimes I just want to kill things.  I guess I'll always have M6 or UE for that.

Same here Orbert. Interesting build N6M4, tough with all the buffs up, but it's a button pusher compared to the UE and it's downright irritating in the Keep maps with all those tiny rooms. Still not nearly as button pushy as some of the builds I've tried.
