My plans for a weekend of gaming
« on: September 27, 2018, 11:19:24 PM »
This weekend, the whole weekend I'm by myself.  Wife and kids are having a holiday, and they are home late Saturday next weekend, so I need to make the most of this time.

I've chosen a GTA marathon!
Once I'm home soon on Friday night, I'll get some food, fire up GTA 3 and work to 100%, get some sleep when I need, food/drink/taking care of myself when I need, but working through that, then onto Vice City.

Both of those I've completed 100% before, but not for quite some time, so I've probably forgotten the finer points of it  If I have time I'll fire up San Andreas which I got close to 100% but didn't finish it off.  Hopefully I can do so!  I was reading about people doing this, I won't record/stream like them, just for my own amusement.  I'm not sure when my next weekend like this might be.

I'm going to take care of myself, make sure I have a good sleep and get to work on Monday, apart from that, I'm going to have a lot of fun on the weekend!

Sounds fun.  Glad you got the computer up and running in time.

If you need a break from GTA3 jump into BL2.

10 hours later, feel myself getting a bit tired, time for sleep.   I'm at 44% completion of GTA3, but my first island is fully done.  Now the 2nd island is open, I have a tonne of options and can get stronger.  I know there will be a few things that will be tricky later.  I had a few things I repeatedly failed.  Stupid pedestrians punching me as I had to use a rocket launcher to blow up cars for a rampage challenge :P  To finish up after sleep/shower/food!

Say...Jeff...have you ever played BL2?  It's better, sweeter, than D3.  Try it...just once...you might like it.

Nope.  Lots of people here seem to like it.

It does look pretty good, and it has a ton of good reviews on Steam.

It is pretty good.

I played it for ... (checks Steam) ... 119 hours. Lots of good, riotous fun as a one-armed, robot-commanding, shotgun-wielding, anarchist teenager.

And they nailed the humor.

And Handsome Jack is one of the best antagonists in any game I can think of. Absolutely fantastic.

In the same boat here Tim. Wife is gone for the weekend, I have today and tomorrow to myself, thinking about going on a Mass Effect marathon. I've never really played a male shep, so thinking about doing a Tali romance.
