Any good freeware backup tools?
« on: March 07, 2018, 02:21:43 PM »
Hello

With my recent issues, its highlighted a few areas I've been complacent.  I'm thinking at the moment its just one drive with Windows giving me grief, but there is a lot of stuff I don't want to lose on there.  Working on copying that off is another issue.  I'm aware that SSDs will one day die and thats it.

With all this in mind, is there a good freeware tool that can backup certain folders, keep them up to date in different hard drives, maybe a cloud copy too?  So if one source goes down, there are some other options.

I quite like SyncBackFree : https://www.2brightsparks.com/freeware/index.html Definitely not the most simple, but I actually did want tome rather precise set of rules, different behaviors on duplicates tec. depending on source, and it fit my needs perfectly. Drawback is you do have to define your backup rules yourself.
