As a non nfl person, is Brady/pats the football version of trump? I mean loved by their fans/base whoever they overlook any of the real issues. Everyone else hates them?

No. There are no "real issues" to overlook, unlike Trump. And unlike Trump, Brady really is the best at what he does.

FYI this is what I read https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/opinion/101112516/mark-reason-tom-brady-is-the-american-dream-gone-wrong

I'd read a a few things about the TB12 thing which seemed like its exploiting people who want results but are a bit thick and don't have the same genes.

The record books show success, but was it done in the best way?  Some sports have gone back and taken away championships for various reasons, or if things were dodgy everywhere, not shown a winner some years.

That's quite the ridiculously biased shitpile of an article.

"He is a real, full-on cheat"

No.

"Anyone who cares about sport has to be rooting for the Eagles in Monday's Super Bowl."

Bollocks.

Much ado about nothing. Still. As ever.

regarding the border wall:

He said he liked a fully concrete wall because it was the hardest to climb, but he noted that it needs see-through capability.

sounds like something my 4 year old kid would demand.

Trump Admits To Making Up Trade Deficit In Talks With Canadian Prime Minister

Quote
" 'Trudeau came to see me. He's a good guy, Justin. He said, "No, no, we have no trade deficit with you, we have none. Donald, please," ' Trump said, mimicking Trudeau, according to audio of the private event in Missouri obtained by The Washington Post. 'Nice guy, good-looking guy, comes in — "Donald, we have no trade deficit." He's very proud because everybody else, you know, we're getting killed. ...
" 'So, he's proud. I said, "Wrong, Justin, you do." I didn't even know. ... I had no idea. I just said, "You're wrong." You know why? Because we're so stupid. ... And I thought they were smart. I said, "You're wrong, Justin." He said, "Nope, we have no trade deficit." I said, "Well, in that case, I feel differently," I said, "but I don't believe it." I sent one of our guys out, his guy, my guy, they went out, I said, "Check, because I can't believe it." ' "

freaking man-child. Mueller cannot go fast enough.

McCabe fired 2 days before retirement. Fuck Trump.

But it sounds like McCabe isn't going to go down quietly.
Here's a statement he released. Well worth reading.
