Australia is making some minor progress in making medical cannabis products available. We're likely still years away from anything like some of the US states though :/ But, progress is progress.

seeing more marijuana toxicity cases at work. apparently there's a population of dogs that love eating left over goodies. effects are about what you'd expect. usually not serious tho i did see a dog hospitalized for an extended period when i was in school. concentrated oils can be bad.

best anecdote: dog #1 ate a tray of pot brownies, barfed all over the backyard. treated with supportive care, did just fine. unbeknownst to the family, dog #2 decided that eating the chocolate pot barf was an excellent idea. ended up with more serious symptoms. all was well in the end, but dogs are gross.

True, but I would bet that the percentage of dogs who eat another dog's barf is higher than the percentage of humans who would do the same.

I have no statistics to back this up, but I sleep better thinking it is true.

On the other hand, a vanishingly small percentage of the dog population voted for Trump.

I feel like cats would have voted for Bernie. I need to believe this.

That's an interesting effect of the changing laws that I would not have considered. Having eaten too many edibles before, I really sympathise with these dogs.
