The Argument Chamber / Re: Trump continued

Seriously, fuck US politics. Your process has been corrupted beyond all sense.

Trump cuts US postal service to hamper the next election

Quote
Today, in an interview on Fox Business, Trump explicitly stated why he doesn't want it to happen.

"Now they need that money in order to make the post office work, so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots," he said.

"But if they don't get those two items, that means you can't have universal mail-in voting, because they're not equipped to have it."

In other words, he knows the post office won't "work" effectively during the election without an injection of funds.

"The President is sabotaging a basic service that hundreds of millions of people rely upon… because he wants to deprive Americans of their fundamental right to vote safely," said Andrew Bates, a spokesman for Presidential challenger Joe Biden.

Also, she's going to be president in 2024, so better get used to her. :P

My source is black people in Oakland, though I certainly haven't polled all of them.  :P  And of course she is a politician so she will say what is expedient.  I would have preferred someone else but I am ok with her.  Biden could have chosen Sarah Palin and I would still vote for him.

You'll have to back up a claim that she's just saying "what is expedient"...

If you mean that she's going the way the wind blows, regardless of how she personally might  feel, then... well, good. That's what a politician is supposed to do: represent the will of the voters, not themselves, and if the will of her constituents is (A) and she votes (A) but feels (B) then she's doing her job exactly as she's supposed to.

Just as a side note I do know many people here in California and particularly in Oakland, who are less than thrilled by Harris.  She has a history of backing law enforcement and the police.

That is hugely overblown, from my understanding. It was also quite a while ago, and she has expressed considerably different views more recently.

Considering the backlash against “defund the police”, this may not be the worst thing in the world. I’m all in on beat Trump first and worry about other things later.

She could have a history of killing puppies, and I'd still vote for any ticket she's on over our incompetent incumbent.

Okay, fine, I'm a cat person and not a dog person, but that's really not the point.  Joe could've picked literally anyone and I'd still vote for him.

I forget exactly when you joined up, but I got burnt out farming for anoints only to have the level cap increase or some nerf come along and kill the weapon that I farmed so hard for.  Lately I have been trying to play in a way where anoints don't really matter.

The event ended at 9am PST today so I was able to do a little bit of farming this morning.  I got a couple of monarchs that have decent anointments and only 1 sand hawk worth a crap.   Better than nothing though.
