Well, it's finally here. I've been looking forward to Spielberg's adaptation since I heard about it, as I read and liked the book.
But APPARENTLY there's a 'backlash' about the movie - as there APPARENTLY was about the book itself.

I found the book to be fun. That's all. No social commentary intended or needed. That's what I expected from the book. As a fairly socially liberal guy who believes that society's issues are real and really do need to be addressed - I still stick to that appraisal.
