Well there are worse reasons to follow a team.

  • Colombia (0)
  • England (1)
  • Belgium (0)
  • Mexico (0)
  • Croatia (0)
  • Portugal (0)
  • Denmark (0)
  • Sweden (0)
  • Switzerland (0)
  • Japan (0)
  • Argentina (2)
  • France (1)
  • Uruguay (2)
  • Brazil (5)
  • Spain (1)
  • Russia (0)

Two games to penalty kicks yesterday, which is unfortunate.

Unbelievable that Spain lost.  Honestly they deserved to lose.  They played a very uninspiring game and they allowed Russia to hang around.  The Russian goalie played out of his mind especially in the shoot out.  For the record the ref did a great job in the game.

Japan was the worst team in group H.  They got lucky against Colombia with a red card, and they managed to tie Senegal.  Senegal should have won that game but they twice allowed Japan to equalize.  It stinks that Senegal got knocked out by fair play rules but they could have won their game against Japan.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic about Messi, but what happened was certainly not his fault.  Poor coaching and strategies are at the heart of Argentina's problems.

In both cases the better team won.

So the last sixteen started today.

This is my order of preference (number of World Cup Wins):
  • Colombia (0)
  • England (1)
  • Belgium (0)
  • Mexico (0)
  • Croatia (0)
  • Portugal (0)
  • Denmark (0)
  • Sweden (0)
  • Switzerland (0)
  • Japan (0)
  • Argentina (2)
  • France (1)
  • Uruguay (2)
  • Brazil (5)
  • Spain (1)
  • Russia (0)

Russia is at the bottom more because I am sick of all things Russian these days, and they really aren't that good.  If they do go far I will be very suspicious of things happening behind the scenes.  Sadly for me England and Colombia play on Tuesday, so I will quickly lose one of the teams I like.

I will cross out the teams as they lose.

He was breaking into a house with intent of rape?  That he came from NZ to meet a teenage girl he met online?  There are several levels of messed up here.

About the jumping....there were times it annoyed me.  But I was constantly jetting everywhere, for even the simplest of things.  I was worse than the Weasley twins having gotten their apparition license.  So that didn't bother me too much.

Well you can buy Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Croft Edition at newegg for 74 bucks.

Best deal for the game that I have seen.  So I pulled the trigger.  The last time I pre-ordered a game it was a disaster.  Here's to hoping that SoTR lives up to the billing.

So maybe I should do an update instead of just snark. Though the snark was deserved. :-p

Overall I am doing well.  Family is doing well.  My eldest is now 17 teen which is insane to me.  Going into senior year and he is a good kid.  Drives me insane in many ways, as all teens seem to do.  I wish he had more motivation to find a passion in life. My daughter is now 15 and also driving me insane.  She has more of an idea of what she is looking for as she loves everything to do with theater and is very active and pursuing her interests.  She also has found that she enjoys working with little kids.  Still, as mentioned, driving me insane in so many other ways.

Personally, I am currently working at wine.com as a back-end software engineer.  I have to say that I am mostly satisfied with my job.  Like all jobs there are things that I like and those things that I don't.  The job is creative and there is real sense of accomplishment when I figure things out.  So while I might not have hit the nail on the head, in terms of my career, I really can't complain.  Insane to me that I now have over 20 years in my career as a programmer.  Most programmers move on to management or to a new career before they cross that threshold.  It is a struggle to keep up with all the new technology but I take satisfaction knowing I am competent at what I do.

On the negative side my father and grandmother passed somewhat recently.  Something that I imagine many of us have, at this point gone through.  Again, I a have no room to complain and I feel blessed in so many ways.

My thoughts are with those of you struggling.  I count you all among my friends and only wish the best for all of you.

Why don't you just hang around so we don't have to update you?  :P

Certainly better than my pre-purchase price.   :o

I think you will enjoy it well enough.  There are some really good sequences in the game.  They just missed the mark in some many ways.

That is huge.  Now it is up to Mexico to keep the pressure up and win its group.

Today we have England and tomorrow Colombia.  Fun stuff.

Also nice to see the powerhouses being less than impressive.

Chasing goblins around is not my cup of tea.

Unless you are OP compared to the little shits I find it tedious.  And I always end up with too much gold anyway.  Of course I never bothered spending gold on rifts.
