Pretty much any good game you can get on xbox is also on PC. I don't think there's really any good reason to get one.

PS4, on the other hand, has so many good exclusives...

If you have PS3 games you don't want, however, I know someone (me) who'd maybe take them off your hands. :D

If you already like Bayonetta, yes.

I have a few friends that have played it.

None of them have recommended it.

Don't do it.

Nostalgia only carries you so far.

I've tried replaying a number of old good games and I never can. A lot of times, the things they did that were good have been improved on since then, done better by other games. In other cases, the graphics are just too dated and your eyes start to hate you and try to gouge themselves out.

True, but I would bet that the percentage of dogs who eat another dog's barf is higher than the percentage of humans who would do the same.

I have no statistics to back this up, but I sleep better thinking it is true.

On the other hand, a vanishingly small percentage of the dog population voted for Trump.

So I just downloaded Fallout 4 last night while I was at work. Got it on sale for $14 on Steam. I've only had a few minutes to play with it so far but it seems fun. My brother swears it's the greatest game not called Mass Effect ever, so I had to try it.

I love Fallout 4 despite its warts but I wouldn't go nearly as far as your brother...

I've played all 3 Witcher games. Never finished any of them. I just can't stand  Geralt as a character and the games bore me after a while. Witcher 3 was the best of them but still couldn't keep my interest very long.

Stop looking up equipment specs.  Love the one you're with.

I've tried playing it a few times and got super annoyed. It's "free" but it's not. Sure you can play it, but it's going to slap you across the face at every turn with the fact that you're a freeloader. Want to hide your helm? Yeah, that'll cost money. Want to play a cool race? Money. Want to do X? Money.

If you can get past all that, by all accounts it's a decent Star Wars story.

Also, looking at what kind of tower I could have built for the price of this laptop is depressing  :-X

Hello peoples. I'm older than some and younger than others. Yay. Sneaking up on 47. Kids are 26 and 22 and the older one just got engaged. Ugh, time, where does it go?

Divorced 2 years ago after 17 years together. Living like a hermit now. Do what I want, when I want; eat what I want, buy what I want... it's not all bad. Bit lonely, though.

I work a shitty job that pays decently enough to live on and have play money and doesn't require a ton of extracurricular time. I'd like to make more/like my job more/etc but meh, here I am.

I mostly play video games in my many off hours. And I still take potshots at writing from time to time until something distracts me and I abandon a project to start a new one.

Also: fuck snow. I'm tired of it. I'd like to slap younger me that thought moving back to Maine was a fine idea. :P

Still nothing new. All stuff we already knew. And yes, SDNY has been investigating Trump & Friends for a while, including the $400m tax fraud they committed getting Fred Trump's money passed down...

But at least we're starting to see some of this stuff be exposed to prime time viewers who haven't been paying attention, so there's that.

I am still hanging on to the hope/expectation that we see indictments for Jared and Donnie Jr in the not-distant future. I'd love to see Ivanka and Eric charged, too, but that might be hoping for way too much...

Nothing new today, though. Everything Cohen said was just stuff we already knew.

There were some good exchanges, though. I really appreciate the response to being called a pathological liar. "Are you talking about the president or me?"

I'll have you know that DA:I has a special spot on the shelf for being one of like... 50 games I've ever played to completion. Out of more than 2600 owned.

Gaming General / Re: Morrowind - how to get widescreen support
« on: February 26, 2019, 09:47:46 PM »
So I can only get 4:3 resolutions in Morrowind GOTY. Any clues how to get widescreen support? Is it possible?

You're gonna need some 3rd party support. You'd want it anyway to pretty up the game.

Mods, mods, and more mods! I'm literally 2 minutes from heading to bed so all I can drop right now is this:

That's the MW graphics extender that gives you widescreen and a host of other things. But it's just the tip of the iceberg.

I'd say to start here:

You'll end up with Morrowind that looks as good as Skyrim. More or less.
