Three hours in and I am now used to how the game looks.  So much richer than the last game.

How the guns handle in the game is pretty great.  Tough to nail down exactly what they did but handle so well.  And the physics behind how the enemies act when hit is awesome.  At this point I am about level 8 and enjoying the hell out of the game.

I got about an hour of play time in.

Yep...it is a Borderlands game.  I am liking the game play so far.  The visuals are taking a bit to get used to.

lol

Epic can suck my balls.

Played the game a bit last night.  Looks good.  Gunfights are more intense.  Now, this is literally only ten minutes of playing, so take that with a grain of salt.  Oh and claptrap is claptrap.

I am in the middle of a year-long project that is about to go live.  F* the timing of that.  I had long planned to take a day off today but I can't, and I might have to work the weekend.

Just found out that each planet in BL3 will have a different musical composer.  Listening to the different styles is pretty cool.

I am planning Moze --> Fl4k --> Zane --> Amara.

Hopefully the game allows me to get through all four.

Pre-Sequel was based off the BL2 code.  So yes it was a full game but no it was not really a fully new game.

Agreed.  Which makes me excited about BL3 as everyone, it seems, is saying that it is a better version of BL2.  Life being what it is I have a project that I have worked over a year on going live either this week or next.  So I will probably get a slow start to the game but man am I itching to get my hands on it.

First reviews are out. It sounds more of the same. If you are sssith you’ll enjoy it. If you normally get bored, you’ll get bored.

Also sounds buggy and some bits plain boring even with qol fixes

meh

Pick the review best supports your view:
  • IGN -- 9 -- Amazing -- Borderlands 3 sticks to its guns and outdoes itself with an amazing arsenal of weapons, humor, and missions.
  • Game Informer -- 8 -- A love letter to it's fans -- not much inovation
  • PC Gamer -- 64 (out of 100) -- endless font of bad jokes
  • Destructoid  -- 9 -- Takes the good from BL2 and improves on it
  • US Gamer -- 4 (out of 5)  -- Improves on the formula
  • Shacknews -- 9 -- is an absolute masterpiece that will bring you hours upon hours of fun.
  • Forbes -- 9 -- A bit stuck in the past but is a blast to play
  • XGN (Dutch) -- 95 (out of 100) -- Grand in scale humor on point
  • Vandal (Spanish) -- 9 -- bigger and better -- conservative

Seems pretty positive.  I am sure there are more negative ones out there.

Nice.  You are not alone in liking BL1 more than 2.  The official forums still have plenty of people who post there.  The only character that I did not play through was Roland.

There are a couple different types of Fibbers, if I remember correctly.  I assume you are using the ricochet version.  I have heard that Gaige and that type of fibber can hit things you can't even see.  Pretty loltastic.

Tales is an excellent game.  I played it a long while ago but this summer I found a youtube channel that had a full play through.  So I watched that to get back up to date.

Really good idea about Gaige with a Fibber.

Less than two weeks.

Part of the problem is that he is willfully ignorant.

A flame thrower would bring you back to Moze.

I haven't heard much of the voice acting but from what I have it goes Fl4k >> Zane > Moze > Amara.  But it such a small sample size that I doubt that will hold up.  In BL2 my least favorite voice acting was Maya, I found her flat and boring.  Still my favorite playing character.  Supposedly BL3 will have a lot more dialog.  That should be a good thing.
