I found the first two episodes enjoyable but it deteriorated after that.
Not so much because of the new Doctor, but the plots were just... off.

Ditto.

I never watched Dr Who before this season - so I can't compare it against any other season or Doctor - but I have a good friend that has watched forever. Thought I'd give it a go this season and like Silverthorn, quite enjoyed the first couple of episodes and hoping the last couple were just a dip blip and it gets back on track this week.

Yeah...that analogy doesn't work for me.

It is not that Blizzard deserves the hate that they received; it's that they earned it.

Agreed. Well earned. They demonstrated a clear and present disconnect with their audience. I can't imagine a greater corporate faux pas.  It's difficult to come up up an apt analogy.

Game is obtuse and tells you nothing.

It has always been so. I thank the friendly folks here for all the information over the years. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Google is also you friend.

Been nearly 2 years since I left my company and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Would still like to do something part time from home so I can continue spending time with my younger son who is 9. He's a soccer fanatic so we been watching a lot of World Cup action.

I've been eager to move out of the city for years and a few months ago my wife decided she wanted too as well. So for the past couple of months I've been trying to catch up on 15 years of maintenance in order to get the house ready for sale. Just hit the market last week so we'll see what happens.

My older son is still walking that fine line between trying to decide whether to have a life or smoke drugs all day. He's 21 going on about 18 now I think. Fingers crossed.

Monkey Kings Garb is probably the easiest set dungeon I've ever done, mercifully.

I thought you had gone into hiding or something.  :-)

Not into hiding exactly, but I haven't played much in a few weeks. Too many months without any changes.

I liked it and I don't watch Family Guy. The bits I've seen of FG haven't interested me at all. But I did enjoy Orville and will watch it again if there is a season 2.

I liked Discovery better, but I thought Orville was fun with good production values and a nice, dry sense of humour for the most part.

Thanks for the replies. The idea isn't to be competitive, it's to have some fun with a play style many of us aren't familiar with.

A couple of Weeks ago, SSB invited me to a four person meta MP game, running GR 120s. I have a support Monk which hadn't seen much action in a while but wanted to try so SSB helped me tweak some skills and attributes to make it simpatico with the latest meta and we were off.

Honestly, it was tough sledding for me. Old fingers, shrinking brain, but thank goodness we were on voice chat so the other guys could help keep me out of trouble. We only played for a couple of hours, but it was really interesting and rewarding. Playing meta characters in group is definitely a very different play style and I've been thinking ever since that it would be fun to have a clan group that could run meta builds a couple times a week. Not 120s - they require at least a couple of 3000+ paragon players - but no doubt we could clear 100s with a little practise.

I know SSB would be interested and could help with the builds as he has for me.

So what do you think? Anyone interested? If so, what time during the week / weekend could you be available? If we could get another 4-5 people besides SSB and myself, we'd likely always have enough people available to fill a group of 4 a couple of times a week. Of course, the more the merrier.

As mentioned, I don't play much meta but know that all groups require a Monk and a Barb for support. The Monk stays close to the main group and mainly provides damage reduction. The Barb is more of a scouting character and mob builder but also provides damage reduction. Damage characters usually include a trash killer, like the Firebats Witch Dr. and an elite killer like the Necro.

There are definitely some variations here, but SSB and the leader boards will have better and more specific information. This post is simply to gauge interest.

Would be Softcore on the NA server - at least to begin with.

Anyone interested?

The siren song of higher GRs can be memorising.

Which is very tough, because the layouts change every level. Memorizing them all takes quite a while.

LOL, thank you speel check!

Congrats Syn, level 90!

What SSB said.

I like the idea of being able to develop a char fairly quickly in order to get to a point where you can have some fun but as SSB said, it's only the beginning. Getting a char strong and fast enough to farm T13 is sort of the midpoint in a character's progression IMO. Getting that same char to the GR 90s is another substantial level and it does take some grinding. If you want to keep up with SSB, you'll need to quit your job and start a YouTube channel :)

I was within 500 paragon of Bob and then I turned around and he was out of sight!
