WTF, that's horrible.

I remember Tarr, was he active on the new forum? I couldn't see his name in the member list...?

Either way, sad to hear that one of us went out like that.

Get a band of might for your HC Barb.
That would be perfect...however I died trying to farm gear :(

Not familiar with HC Necros, you may want to google what others are doing. In regards to getting the Dayntees, you may want to try 10-20 attempts at changing a rare belt into a Legendary in the cube. I make a lot of my gear that way.

Good luck!

Got the Dayntee's this morning ^_^ at the low low cost of another 3000 shards :)
Definitely helps with the toughness. Also did some rerolling and my resistances are now 2100-2200, have a bit more HP and a few more levels in my Esoteric gem. Feeling much safer, though damage still needs work. May need to commit to getting an Ancient Jesseth scythe.

Also started a HC barb, as I didn't have on yet. Ramped to 70 in no time using a Gem of Eased Furnace with Hellfire ammy/ring/Leorics crown. No gear to speak of yet, would like to do something other than whirling, as my SC barb has only ever been a whirler. Damn I do love whirling though.

I am back to playing my HC Necro using Rathma set and skellies/mages. Currently sitting at T13/GR60 and having trouble pushing higher. Have like 1mil health and 1200+ resists, using Esoteric gem and Aquilla's Cuirass, but I still take sooo much damage.

Trying to get the Dayntee's Binding belt for the DR. Have been through at least 5000 bloodshards, and still haven't got it :(

Damage seems lacking too though TBH. Using the Jesseth set and cubed the scythe that gives dmg per point of essence, Endless Walk set (80-90% dmg most of the time). Getting the set scythe ancient will take some doing I think.

Anyone have tips? Or even build recommendations for the other sets? Reading the other set bonuses doesn't make them sound very exciting.

Diablo 3 / Re: Patch 2.6.5

Honestly though, buffing LoN to 750% just feels.....lazy.
I think LoN was already buffed in the last patch to 750%

Ahh you're correct, my misunderstanding. I understand why they needed to buff it last patch, as sets got decent buffs. Seems like it will be a global buff for next season.

Season 16 Grandeur buff was interesting for experimentation but a straight global buff for using ancients doesn't inspire change, just doing the same things quicker/easier and pushing higher GRs.

Means I can maybe get the journey done quicker to get the rewards, but honestly didn't mind the grind that much.

Things I Like:
  • Torment 14, 15, and 16 have been added to the game
  • Using an Ancient or Primal Puzzle Ring in Kanai’s Cube will produce a new result
  • Additional stash space has been added for all players
  • Sage’s Set
Now doubles the amount of Death’s Breaths that drop
  • Akkhan’s Leniency
Each enemy hit by your Blessed Shield increases damage of your Blessed Shield by 15-20% 75-100% for 3 seconds
  • Blessed Shield ricochets to 6 additional enemies and has its damage increased by 225-300% 300-400%
Most of the other changes are minor or not going to affect me.

Honestly though, buffing LoN to 750% just feels.....lazy.

With all the changes though, I think I will run with a Blessed Shield LoN Crusader for Season 17. Probably HC.

Rewatching Westworld as I get ready for season two.  I just love the first season.  There is one major thing that is weak but such a great story as a whole.

I have almost watched this a few times. Sounds interesting.

Agree with Tim.

Higher Torments are way overdue, so it's about time we got them. A new set for every class would be nice, perhaps one day..

Same here. My game is non-seasonal. I try to pick it up, but I get tired of doing the same thing over and over again.

It does get repetitive. You need goals, which the Seasons do well. I mostly try to improve my GR for each build and move up the leaderboards, with no expectation that I will ever be at the top end. It's a lot more fun playing with someone else though.

So Fallout 4 sucks. It's boring for starters. Then, the Brotherhood of Steel quests broke, and then I accidentally shot a Diamond City guard, so the entire town is hostile to me, which means I can't complete the main quest either. Meh.

FO4 didnt grab like previous installments did, though I still enjoy it immensely. That said, I often prefer to make my own fun in sandbox games, rarely do I finish the main quest.

BOS quests are definitely buggy, need to use the Unoffical Patch mod to fix the quest (and many other bugs).

As for the NPC hostility, if you sleep 24 (or 48?) hours in a different cell (like Sanctuary home or whatever you use), they should reset to neutral.

I refuse to give the time of day to any ARPG in 2019 that still believes class should be gender based.
Yes, time for that system to go. Bothered me way back when I played D2, glad they fixed it in D3. Some developers still haven't caught on though.

NECROPOOOOST

I'm out of seasonal and back playing non-season Hardcore, for fun and profit (and despair).

Currently tweaking/improving my Helltooth WD (moved up leaderboard from ~300 to ~200), still have a lot of gear improvements to make and Paragons to grind. I don't expect to top the boards but it is a decent measure of progress.

Also started a crusader and have just got up to lvl70, with the intention of using the Blessed Shield/Captain America build recommended by someone on the forum (sorry I forget who).

Anyone else playing offseason or HC?

General Discussion / Re: Marijuana

seeing more marijuana toxicity cases at work. apparently there's a population of dogs that love eating left over goodies. effects are about what you'd expect. usually not serious tho i did see a dog hospitalized for an extended period when i was in school. concentrated oils can be bad.

best anecdote: dog #1 ate a tray of pot brownies, barfed all over the backyard. treated with supportive care, did just fine. unbeknownst to the family, dog #2 decided that eating the chocolate pot barf was an excellent idea. ended up with more serious symptoms. all was well in the end, but dogs are gross.

That's an interesting effect of the changing laws that I would not have considered. Having eaten too many edibles before, I really sympathise with these dogs.

So researching games to play, and then messing about with settings and editors/toolsets is almost more fun than actually playing them.

I don't know if this is a thing.

Not only IS it a thing, it's the best thing.

Easily the most time consuming, fun and often frustrating part, of any Fallout or Elder Scrolls game.

My fondest memory of Fallout 3 is learning how to make a mod because the specific mod I wanted for a character roleplay I was doing, did not exist.

Got my stash tab, now playing off-season. Started a Crusader as I have never really played one. Got some sets, dislike all of the playstyles. Am I missing something? The skills seem so clunky, like the set that pumps your falling sword, seems painful to use as your primary damage dealer.

What set is most fun for crusader?

Been playing a fair bit of multiplayer, got lucky and found some random players that dragged me through higher GRs to get some gear. Just managed to solo a GR60 to unlock T13 MP.

Still using Nats set with Strafe (played all other sets on other seasons). Might try N6M4 when GRs get harder apparently that's the goods.

No notable finds unfortunately :(
