Just bought the game.

I hope the bugs don't drive me insane.

Watch out for those untargettable (is that a word?) bats in one of the early cave systems! Hopefully they patched that already.

I never experienced any untargettable (your word) bats.

The end game is a whole thing about rebuilding the city, so it's an endless mode of dungeons and missions designed to get more loots and moneys and build up resources and construct stuff so you can get more loots and moneys and stuff. Constructing different buildings gives you different benefits - one might be gold find, another magic find, another unlocks the 5th skill button, others do... lots of other things.

It's neat, and in true ARPG form, it exists just to keep the hamster wheel of kill-loot-level going. :D

Thanks for the info! I've heard people mention the city, and now I know a little bit more about it. Cheers!

So far very happy with the game.  I am still on my way toward my second main objective after you get to the starting point.  Crawling around some tunnels.  Everything seems smooth so far.  Though I did run into those Bats.  Very difficult to directly target.  That said a little AOE and they are gone.  Starting with a fighter based class and the first main attack they give you is AOE so not that difficult.  Not sure if other bases have more difficulty but I would guess no.

Yeah, my archer couldn't target them at all, even with AOE attacks. There may be some YMMV in there. Have fun and keep on rockin'!

I'm hoping to get back to some offline play with said archer this weekend, if life cooperates.

Just finished the Wolcen campaign. Now on to the endless post-game, which is really quite neat.

That, or start a new character. So many build possibilities...

Wait ... Wut? you finished a campaign?  What have you done with Pixie?

So what is the end game/post-game in Wolcen?

Oh, I also pre-ordered Rune Factory 4 for the Switch, which comes out next week. I'm hoping that will keep me entertained until Animal Crossing drops next month.

Agreed, Wolcen is definitely fun, if quite buggy. I think I made it to level 11 in both online and offline with a wizard and archer, respectively. I'm going to take a couple weeks off to see if they can squish some of the bugs.

On the Switch front I have been playing West of Loathing, which is great fun if you are after a low-key RPG with lots of amusing quests and flavor text.

I just bought it yesterday, before it officially launches today and jumps up $15. I haven't had the chance to fire it up, yet, but hope to do so this weekend.

One of my friends has had it for a long time, and fired it up yesterday and said it's a whole different experience (in a good way) and the game finally feels finished and fleshed out.

Anyone check out Warcraft 3 yet? I didn't know it was even coming out, but it appeared in the Battlenet launcher (or whatever they now call it) last night. I was definitely intrigued, but in looking at some of the early reviews, it is getting pounded pretty hard. I'll keep my eyes on it, though.

Any of you fine people give it a shot?

Oh yeah, it was a novelty and I'm glad I did it, but I won't be doing it again unless they really boost the rewards.

People suggested having primals drop automatically from him, but that would probably "force" people to farm him nonstop for the guaranteed primals. There is probably a happy medium out there somewhere, but not what is currently in place.

Ah, it didn't even occur to me that his difficulty scales the same as other monsters.  Maybe I'll try again on like T6, not T16.

What are the rewards?

The rewards are all across the board. Sometimes you get drops similar to rift guardians like syn said, or sometimes you get GRift keys or organs that the ubers drop. The rewards are pretty underwhelming if you kill him at a high torment level IMO. It's a fun fight, but don't go into it looking for awesome drops.

Yeah, he's a real treat on T16. I think it took me 5 minutes to kill him with my WW barb, and half of that time was spent under a shield pylon. I got a big pile of the organs that the ubers drop.

He was very easy on T6, although he quickly dispatched the guy I had just leveled to 70. Whoops! :D

Any of you fine people ever play Undertale? I'm thinking of grabbing it for my Switch over the weekend.

No spoilers, please, just looking to see if you enjoyed it. :D

Anecdotally, I have heard that a lot of people don't like the Wii U default controller, but that may not be a big deal in the grand scheme of things. And hey, you may love it.

I think I'd opt for the Switch if you think they would ever MP with their friends. Switches seem to be everywhere now so there is a greater opportunity to play with others, even if it's not for awhile.
