I believe Syn and Melch have done it on HC!

Nice!  Sounds like you had fun with it which is the main thing. He certainly was a pain in the butt. When I fought him - in Not the Cow level - My whirly barb had done a GR 100 and could blow through T16. I still probably died 15-20 times before he ran out of hitpoints.

The part that disappointed me was that I didn't get any special drop from him. You'd think something would be in order, but naughta.

Definitely roll off the life %. Another possibility is 20% to whatever damage you're using: cold, phys, fire, etc. 20% is  a lot of damage!

The good news is, you won't ever be stuck with your decision. You can roll something else if you need or want to later on.

An ancient Bovine Bardiche does nothing different than a regular. Unfortunately.

RIP on your Necro. Next man up, as they say.

Congratulations! Paragon 1000 by itself in HC is an awesome accomplishment. Good luck on top 10. I haven't played much Necro so I don't have any advise for your build but I will have a look at the build next time I'm on.

As I said, I was simply basing my comments on that article, and was interested in getting your take. I certainly don't have the insight to reply intelligently to your meaningful comments.

JC and his platform were waaaaaay out there.

No not really. Not even remotely.
But, here we are. The UK electorate had the opportunity to effect real positive change for the first time in almost 40 years and they pissed it away.

So we'll be back to a centrist-right Labour party of mendacity and mediocrity as per Blair and there will be no real change.

I don't know if that link will work so I'll just quote this one bit:

"On Thursday the Labour Party promised a sweeping overhaul of the economy and an increase in public spending and taxes to levels not seen in generations. The party is promising “the most radical and ambitious plan to transform our country in decades,” leader Jeremy Corbyn said after unveiling his party’s platform in Birmingham.

Labour’s manifesto calls for massive spending increases for health care, social programs, infrastructure and education. The party also wants to nationalize huge parts of the economy, including energy suppliers, railway operators, the Royal Mail – which was privatized in 2013 – water companies and the internet arm of telecom giant BT. A Labour government would also force companies to give employees a 10-per-cent ownership stake, and any publicly traded company that fails to combat climate change would be delisted from the stock exchange, according to the manifesto. The party also plans a host of giveaways, including free broadband for everyone, free basic dental care, free postsecondary education and a program to upgrade every home to “the highest energy-efficiency standards.”

I'm a Canuck so I only have an outsider's view, but this is what I based my comment on. Big things rarely ever happen at once. Really change takes time and either finesse or catastrophe. It just felt to me that what Labour was suggesting was too big a step for the ave. citizen to swallow. I don't know how effective terming the platform 'radical' could be in the conservative U.K. HE might have well as used the word communist to the average joe or joelene.

Sorry for ALL the losses. My connection has been spotty for a few months so I don't dare try HC these days. Lately, I've been playing a SC Whirly Barb and even though I've done a comfortable 108, I still get one shot by almost nothing when I stop to pick something up. It's not that different with my DH. I think these big 50% and larger damage reduction buffs are great and can enable you to push some steep rifts, but just a momentary lapse at a critical moment and your toughness just isn't there.

Even when I did HC with my DH, I was very, very wary of T16. GRs are a little different because you don't have to stop and it's easier to maintain focus on your rotation so buffs stay up better. But trying to pick up mats on T16 is highly risky these days.

So I spent some time and GR Keystones leveling a LoD to 75 and then tried The Thrill and was surprised how difficult it was for my UE DH. Then I realized I had forgotten to put the gem in...

Finished in about 10 minutes - without the gem.

Shocking, but labour should have known better than that. JC and his platform were waaaaaay out there. Talk about mistake after mistake. I feel bad for the next few years in England.

I have no idea. Sounds like something was significantly off, but I've never heard of anything like that in Diablo. I do recall another Blizz game that had a cheat code where an indestructible monster truck appeared and killed all your enemies. Could it be something like that?

Terrific gloves! Congrats!

I hope they do something to improve HC play. I would like to see some form of D2 like action, you lose the character
but not the gear. It takes forever to upgrade your Leg gems and they can be gone in an instant.

DITTO! I only gemmed one HC char and lost her to a disconnect. It took a long, long time to level a dozen gems to even 80-90 area. I never had the patience to try that again.
