Tenet: Excellent movie. There were bits I'm sure I'll need a second viewing to pickup.  There were bits I went Aha! when I put a few things together.  It was also cool that the trailer showed things out of context, and not all the things, so doesn't give away key things, just a few bits of "ooh this should be good" but followed up with "woah, they didn't mention that would happen!

General Discussion / One of my best friends has unexpectedly passed

I'm a bit broken now, she dated a friend of mine in uni.  Their relationship didn't last but we had a friendship that went on about 18 years.  I knew she was in hospital, I knew there were multiple problems, but I did not expect this. It wasn't covid stuff though.  Someone you could talk to about anything.

Fuck 2020.

I've been thinking after I get these assignments out the way I need to talk to an EAP service about a few things.  That just got bumped up the priority list.

Left 4 dead 2 gets a big community update which is cool.  30 new achievements? Cool, but some that will be many hours of grind .. fuck I didn't want that.

Microsoft has bought Zenimax which includes Bethesda.

I think this should be a positive step as Microsoft are doing some great things on gaming and not being a dick when they could.

Iím excited John Carmack, previously at id software might be able to do some stuff with his old games. Maybe releasing some source code like they used to! Great source ports and mods incoming!

There is a bunch of talk about those who arenít sick but havenít properly recovered months later. It can bring on things like M.E. / Chronic Fatigue which sadly a mixture of the medical community and people in general donít think is real or appreciate how debilatating it is.

Hopefully one silver lining out of covid might be more understanding and research into M.E. Your body has a virus or something infectious and after your body is hightemed in its immune response. Any exercise leaves people just drained.

I hope future reporting focuses more on just diagnosed/recovered and deaths.  We need more info on those who are alive but not what they were before. Those with strokes and other things.

I have an email saying I have ordered one right before the site went down.  Let's see if it arrives.

Something inspirational while you wait

what do you mean a "boosted krieg" I know the early game can be dull.  Just wanting to get to the destination and skip most of the leveling journey?

I know you did the circular file thing but if you have a record of your CD key, you can load that against your account in bnet then download the files

Well the 1.07 assy with her sigon set was strong enough for act 3,4 and 5.  Getting 8 levels ups from the normal ancients was cool.

Got 3 greens and a gold at Baal!

Epic work D2Addict! With not many Elite Uniques in 1.09 a Hellslayer is very sweet.  I still remember my first back in 2003

I listened to Bidenís speech this morning, found it a great contrast to the past years bullshit.

Here is a blast from the past

That CarBot animations D2 youtube videos have got me excited about the game and actually playing again!  I've got a few characters to beat normal Diablo, some taking a heck of a lot of time.

Currently taking some untwinked characters in 1.08 through normal act2.  Its slow going but fun getting levels, picking up rares, locking in those waypoints!

Only 15 characters left in it now.
9 in act 2 normal.
3 in act 3 normal.
3 in act 4 normal.

They cover patches 1.02, 1.06, 1.07 and 1.08.

The 1.07 are the strongest as they have had hand me down gear available!  At this rate I might be out of Act 2 by Christmas!
