View from the Royal Quarters
« on: November 18, 2017, 03:41:42 PM »
Luther and his entourage had just finished killing all the skeletons in the Royal Quarters and stepped out onto the balcony for some fresh air.  Beautiful view from up there.  You can even see the Tristram Cathedral, complete with the big hole in the roof where The Fallen Star hit.  I thought that that was a nice bit of detail, especially since this is content that was added later.

Reminds me of my favourite D2 spot, the view from Mt Arreat after fighting the Ancients!

Yeah, that was a sweet view.  I like how it "went all 3-D" there.

Old school 3-D was the best 3-D :)

it's a nice view. i think you can see the same view from one of the dungeons in act1, the tower or something on the north margin of one of the maps? can't remember atm.

I'd never noticed that.

Might be time to dust that one off for a spin...

Another cool view in D3 is looking out over the city in Act 2.

The view from the Hidden Camp?  Yeah, I always liked that view, too.

I remember being disappointed, though, because at the start of the game, you're on a path just outside of New Tristram, and have to kinda fight your way to New Tristram.  The Hidden Camp is a separate area, and when you go into town, you click and just "appear" inside the city walls.  I was hoping to take the little path down to the city.
