Great idea Tim

Last game I bought was They Are Billions, which I am really enjoying.
It is an Early Access titles, only has a Survival mode at the moment. Basically a zombie apocalypse RTS which has a tower defense feeling as the enemies come in waves every so many days. The waves get more difficult so you have to balance your tech with expansion and military might.

Next on my list is XCOM2 DLC. Still hasn't come up for a reasonable price.

I thought we could have a thread to say "Hey I just picked up this game".

I picked up a few from the Xmas sale and some money I got.
Bulletstorm (new version), really enjoyed the last one, this one has the option of Duke Nukem as a playable character, and steam achieves.
CoD MW4 Remastered.  Again .. an old game I enjoyed with some achievements etc
Serious Sam Bogus Detour.  It has Serious Sam in the title :P and achieves.
Omegaland.  This looks fun and was cheap
Plantera: same as above

The D1 event.  I finished it all last year, it was fun, but I won't be going back again.  A high powered character could blast through things, see the content, get achievements.

There is a special achievement (and fun) if you start a brand new level 1 character and go and do the event and kill diablo.   Try that if you have a character slot.

Anyone try the new challenge rift for this week (crusader shield bash)?  This might be the worst one ever.

won't argue with that. definitely the worst of the few i've tried. spent less than a minute in this one and decided it wasn't worth it.

re the darkening of tristram: i think collecting the pages get you a portrait reward but they are not needed to enter the portal, which i don't think shows up until tomorrow. i don't think it's a particular risk for a HC necro. others can probably offer better necro advice than i can. most of the sets struck me as reasonably powerful, if not overly so; they buffed a couple other classes to make them comparable to the necro, iirc. also a lot of options for LoN builds, assuming you can gear enough ancient items.

PCs / Intel Chip Design Flaw

Not sure yet how much of this is fear mongering.  The upshot is that a design flaw in the chip architecture allows code to be able access protected kernel memory.  The article above is stating that it might cause a 30% degradation of speed.  If true this is very very large problem.  The article states that it affects all Intel chips over the last decade.

I have yet to do a weekly challenge.  Maybe not this week I guess.

Turns out I am a dirty liar.  I was actually P50 not P70.  I leveled it a bit last night and I am up P58 or so.

Anyone doing the darkening of Tristram?  I found two pages (4 & 6).  Not exactly clear how I make this work but I am going to try and do this.  I imagine you people did before as this is the second time through.  Seems like a fun thing.  Is this something that I should avoid doing with my HC Necro?

At this point I have not really settled on a HC Necro build.  Not really happy with Corpse Explosion, but any time I do something different my killing speed slows down.  The Revives don't seem to cut it.  Lance seems to be geared for only a single target.  Devour doesn't seem to help with killing speed, more of a survival tactic.  Simulacrum has a two minute cool down.

I tried it, but it was so squishy I couldn't stay alive longer than 30 seconds. Some of those challenge builds are so obscure
that unless you have direct experience with the build its almost impossible to master. On the positive side the loot you get
is invaluable to a new build in season.

Public thanks to Mn4nu for the HC power level, even though I managed to get myself killed
by a worm mid way through the leveling. :-)
