Well you can buy Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Croft Edition at newegg for 74 bucks.

Best deal for the game that I have seen.  So I pulled the trigger.  The last time I pre-ordered a game it was a disaster.  Here's to hoping that SoTR lives up to the billing.

So maybe I should do an update instead of just snark. Though the snark was deserved. :-p

Overall I am doing well.  Family is doing well.  My eldest is now 17 teen which is insane to me.  Going into senior year and he is a good kid.  Drives me insane in many ways, as all teens seem to do.  I wish he had more motivation to find a passion in life. My daughter is now 15 and also driving me insane.  She has more of an idea of what she is looking for as she loves everything to do with theater and is very active and pursuing her interests.  She also has found that she enjoys working with little kids.  Still, as mentioned, driving me insane in so many other ways.

Personally, I am currently working at as a back-end software engineer.  I have to say that I am mostly satisfied with my job.  Like all jobs there are things that I like and those things that I don't.  The job is creative and there is real sense of accomplishment when I figure things out.  So while I might not have hit the nail on the head, in terms of my career, I really can't complain.  Insane to me that I now have over 20 years in my career as a programmer.  Most programmers move on to management or to a new career before they cross that threshold.  It is a struggle to keep up with all the new technology but I take satisfaction knowing I am competent at what I do.

On the negative side my father and grandmother passed somewhat recently.  Something that I imagine many of us have, at this point gone through.  Again, I a have no room to complain and I feel blessed in so many ways.

My thoughts are with those of you struggling.  I count you all among my friends and only wish the best for all of you.

Why don't you just hang around so we don't have to update you?  :P

Certainly better than my pre-purchase price.   :o

I think you will enjoy it well enough.  There are some really good sequences in the game.  They just missed the mark in some many ways.

That is huge.  Now it is up to Mexico to keep the pressure up and win its group.

Today we have England and tomorrow Colombia.  Fun stuff.

Also nice to see the powerhouses being less than impressive.

Sweet...congrats on the build.

Chasing goblins around is not my cup of tea.

Unless you are OP compared to the little shits I find it tedious.  And I always end up with too much gold anyway.  Of course I never bothered spending gold on rifts.

Sadly it is a valid point for a lot of soccer, and maybe sports in general.

Still the World Cup has a lot of drama that makes watching/following it a ton of fun.

It's that time bitches!

I love the world cup.  My only regret about is that there are few teams that have a legit chance of winning.  I am always hoping for a first time winner.

IMO these are the teams with Legit chances to win who aren't in the obvious group.
  • Colombia
  • Belgium
  • Portugal
  • Mexico -- I don't really think they have a chance.
  • England -- Really don't belong on this list since they have won it before...but it has been something like 50 years
  • Croatia

Now is the list of teams mostly likely to win (in order of likelyhood):
  • Brazil
  • Germany
  • France
  • Spain
  • Argentina
  • Uruguay -- They have won it before...but chance wise they belong in the first group

Personally I am hoping for Colombia, highly unlikely (I was born there for those of you that don't know.)  After that I would enjoy a team from the first list.  In the second list I used to love Brazil, but I am a bit sick of them.  I lived in Brazil for six years so I do have an attachment to them.  Argentina hasn't won in a while so I wouldn't mind them.  After that I am really not a fan of any of them.  Germany is a really impressive team and I really hope they don't win.  A bit sick of Spain.  With Uruguay I really hate their best player Suarez; such an asshole.

First game starts in 2 minutes!

There are so many good games out there, and I guess D2 is still out there. :P

Watched 2/3rds of it.  I don't think this game will be for me.

No mention of story.  They seem to have a diablo style rpg aspect in that you can respect at any time.  A bit bummed about this.

Just watched a review of Rust and if that is 76 it will be a hard pass.

I want stories and searching out new things.  If some random dipshit can kill me then I will pass.

Last of Us is a great game.  I never played the the DLC which was supposed to be fantastic.  LoU 2 would be something I would be really interested in if I had a PS4.  Ten years latter my PS3 is still going (not really sure how old my PS3 is but it is up there).  When does the PS5 come out? :P
