Title: Anyone multibox D3?
Post by: dave in the basement on October 12, 2017, 06:18:20 AM
Since my son doesn't play very frequently, I am going to give multiboxing a shot, so I can run 2 characters at the same time. I did it for the first time last night, and it only gave me a slight headache.  :P

Ha! Me too! At this time I'm more intrigued by the possibility than actually doing it.  :P

How does this work?

from what i'm reading you buy up to 4 copies of d3, they all connect to the game, then when you play, the mouse controls all at the same time.    The bonus of playing more than solo helps, you get more drops, but need to gear more characters.

It sounds a bit harder and slower then just 4 different humans working together.

I guess its good for those who like to play with themselves

I like to play with myself as much as the next person but that seems insane.  ;)

One mouse controls multiple characters simultaneously?  So all characters move, attack, open chests, etc., in unison?  I still don't see how that would work.

I have watched it on twitch before.  They all run the same class and build typically.  As I understand it,
one runs multiple instances of D3 under Windows and the input comes from the same source.  The player
has to switch between characters to scoop up items.  It looked like a fair amount of juggling and it has
been a long time since I have seen anyone stream multiboxing.
