Well, I said I would post my thoughts, and now I will. Bought it almost 2 months ago but had other things to play. Glad I put this game off until I could focus on it because DAMN does this game suck you in. The visuals, facial animation, voice acting, pacing, etc., are all top notch, and I genuinely cared for a lot of the characters, even ones you see only a few times or only "hear" from in audio logs. The story is way better than almost all open world games ever made (with a few exceptions like Witcher 3), and gets into some pretty heavy sci-fi stuff too. It also now takes the crown as the prettiest game I've ever played. There isn't anything this game does that is subpar or even average, everything is above average or exceptional. I think it only lost some buzz because this year has been LOADED with long open-world/actiony games (Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nioh, Nier: Automata, Yakuza 0, etc.), which it may get back a little with some DLC later this year.
