You mean you still don't like Obsidian games?  What a shock!

Getting to the end of my first play through of Cyberpunk.  Overall I am still really enjoying it.  The game seems to have a good build variety, but I am not crazy about how the end game build works.  I have 10 unused perk points.  I mainly use just one weapon, the shotgun.  At times I break out the silenced pistol to do some sneaking.  I have gone the full berserk mode so no more hacking for this character.  I can pretty much lay waste to most mobs right now.  Every once in a while I get in over my head.  I somehow messed up my romance with Panam, but ended up succeeding with Judy.

Currently I am level 40 or 41...forget which.  Not sure how many more side missions I am going to do.  I mostly have just main quests left and side quests to find.

I somehow messed up my romance with Panam, but ended up succeeding with Judy.

These things are mutually exclusive. As in, if you romanced Judy, you must be playing a female character, and if you're playing a female character, then you couldn't have messed up a romance with Panam, because that was never an option to begin with. Panam is exclusively straight and Judy is exclusively lesbian. Similar, the two male romances are one straight (River) and one gay (Kerry).

Ah, should have guessed.

I am slowly finding the remaining side quests while moving forward with main quests.  I really wish I could reset my Attribute points in the game.  Now that I understand the system better I would have done somethings differently.  Without the attribute reset there is less point in resetting perks.

There's a mod on Nexus that lets you reset your attributes.

Finished the platinum for Yakuza: Like a Dragon.  Ending was pretty good overall, with some decent emotional impact and tying up of stories.  Post-game dungeon was interesting, but then there's a post-post-game dungeon where almost everything is level 99 and one-shotted me when their level 80 versions did <1% of my health, so that required some additional grinding to pass.  The final superboss battle was pretty cool, finished at around 127 hours.  Now I can move on to Nioh 2.

I finished my first playthrough of Cyberpunk.

I think it says something about the game that I am thinking of diving right back in with another playthrough.

Overall the game is good and a pity that it launched when it did.  It needed a bit more baking.  So storylines were great, some fizzled.  There is one in particular that I did not see go anywhere.  It is possible my choices led to that.  Dialogue options were somewhat difficult to see where they would lead.

I chose an ending that I purposely knew would be 'bad'.  I would say that it was interesting though.

In my second play through.  Playing on the hardest difficulty.  It was really tough to get going.  My tech specialist is starting to hit her stride.  Annoyingly I only have a tech sniper and pistol so far.  I really want a good tech assault rifle.

Right now my character just finished the Royce mission against Maelstrom.  That was pretty tough despite taking my time leveling up before hand.  I was also able to do a couple things differently this time which was fun.

Mostly done with Watson missions and level 10 or 11, and I am getting close to being done with Act I.

Shooting through walls/barriers with a tech sniper rifle is the best thing.

Soooo uhhh...

Nioh 2.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

It's hard as fuck.

It makes zero sense on any level.

But it sure has the best character creator I've ever seen. >.>

I'm playing Nioh 2 right now too.  It's definitely faster than Souls games, although it has a few tricks to make things easier (stronger ranged weapons, magic, etc.), and the AI is just as exploitable.  I'm not a fan of how 100% of the enemies in the game have an unblockable grab move, so your reactions have to be fucking on-point at all times, same with trying to Burst Counter any of their "big" moves, but being able to see enemy Ki bars and draining them to stagger them and get free criticals somewhat makes up for it.  When a big Yokai has no Ki they get stunned on every hit so it's free offense for 4-5 seconds.  The first few bosses are somewhat tough, but then the next few I did first try.  I'm only on the 6th main mission I think, around level 52, so not too far in.  It's definitely a game where you have to get into a rhythm.

I'm currently focusing on the Spear and Odachi.  The Spear has enough reach to cheese any human enemies, and the Odachi has good range and damage against Yokai, though neither are particularly good at blocking which has been a problem sometimes.  The Dual Swords and Hatchets seem to be really strong defensively, if you prefer to be a little safer.  Personally even in Nioh 1 I rarely had a need to change between Hi/Mid/Low stance, although there are skills to learn that give you buffs for doing so, and their dodge mechanics are different.  High only rolls, Mid dashes first but rolls on a double tap, Low only dashes.  The roll is slower but has more invincibility.

Mechanically it took me a while to figure out exactly what the hell Soul Cores were good for (mainly just passive buffs), what the hell Anima was vs. the Amrita Gauge, and I still haven't really tried out the movesets of the other two Yokai Shift forms besides Brute that your first Guardian Spirit comes with, although that's partially because a lot of levels are short and my Amrita Gauge never fills up enough to use it.

It's nice that in a game that SHOWERS you with loot you can sell everything to the Forge for money OR donate it at the shrine for amrita+rice+sometimes bonus items OR disassemble them at the Forge for weapon crafting components.  The downside is how much of this is required, considering there is an item limit.  It's literally like 1/3rd of the game, managing inventory, trying to craft better stuff.

Gaming related: Made some more fightsticks. Most recently assembled one for a buddy. I think he digs it.
Real gaming stuff: Got Street Fighter V back on PC and leveled up that account over the past couple of months (and PC version plays noticeably better to the extent I have less interest to maintain the PS4 account) to Super Diamond. I could probably push higher but part of me wants to wait for the new balance update and new game mechanic dropping next week. It couldn't possibly hurt/nerf/gimp my character, could it? Could it?! I guess we'll see. It's all good. Anyway, some friends are getting anxious for Guilty Gear: Strive and I've never really played anime fighters so I'm excited/nervous to begin learning a new game when that drops in April. I pre-ordered on PC, but it isn't crossplay with PS4/5 so I'm hoping that wasn't a mistake. Still hoping I can connect with a character, but the one who looks most "me" right now has a lot of negative edge inputs which I've never really cared for. I guess I'll make it work or I'll flounder to the beat of my own drum.
Non-FGC stuff: I've been playing a bit of Gal*Gunvolt Burst, BroForce, and Crash Team Racing with my kid. All fun little games.

My tech specialist in cyberpunk is absolutely crushing the hardest difficulty so far.  It was tough in the beginning because you don't really start getting good tech weapons until level 10ish.  There is a sniper that you can craft and you end up living off of that guy.  At this point though I have 18 points in Tech and 14 points in Reflexes and the bad guys usually don't stand a chance.  Stealth missions are my nemesis at this point.

Having gotten a few missions in, I have decided that Nioh 2 is way better than the Dark Souls games.

RE: Cyberpunk: I don't think I ever even did any stealth missions. My mantis blade character was just not set up for them and it felt like a waste of time to try.

I have 0 points in cool this time around and I can still get them done.  Of course, having gone through the game once, I know where many of the entrances are for those missions.

Just rescued Saul in the Badlands.  I did it pure stealth.

I had trouble getting into the Dark Soul games, might give Nioh a try I guess.  I think I have one of them on the PS4.
