I know on discord that this stirred up some controversy, so will be interesting to see what  happens here.  Looks like current meta things will still work just fine, but skills that have never been used will be viable, other mercs viable etc.  That will be good to have options.   Waiting 4 months for  the option to make some new runewords is fine.  There are a bunch I haven't been able to make in over a decade now ..

I think once more details are out that I WILL make some new characters, I think I'll move over my twinking gear from the original game.

So, many of you might be coming back for the first time in years.  I hope you are excited for later next week if you are starting fresh, or bringing some stuff over. 

As for me, I have my "Operation Complete Normal".  Normal is both the most fun, and the most boring parts of the game.
Runewords.  After finally getting another Sur to make Beast, I'd love to complete the following this year.  Death (just need vex), Fortitude (need Lo). and stretch goals Beta CTA (need Ohm). Infinity needs two x Ber.    None of those are NEEDED by any characters, but the last 3 would buff anyone using them.

A grailer .. Its now been the longest time between grail finds.  Previously that was 1673 days from my Horizons in 2008 and Deaths Fathom in 2012.   Its currently 1996 days and counting.   Seeing Andy coming back and getting of bunch of grailers is inspiring.  Keep it up buddy!  I've had some TC87 luck myself .. just nothing new.

Another long term wish I have a new strategy for, racking a 1.07 Cranium Basher.  I was previously looking at Nilly's temple, but its loaded with monsters, the racks aren't stable and don't think it will work.  I'm looking at the Halls of Pain which I THINK only has one set of racks, but easy to find .. and not normally full of monsters.  If I do manage to get this, then I'd finally have one of everything gold and green pre 1.10.    Only downside to that is it would stop in 1.14 if i ever get a gold thundermaul that buzz of "I have a grailer .. but not sure which one!"

But the MAIN goal of all is to make it fun, and take breaks for other games at times too.

It just sounds AWESOME.  I think for some people they might play a lot less mobile games if they can do this instead.  Certain newer games I just haven't bought as I can't run them. If I had this, that would change.

Well I have a second hand PC which is ancient by modern standards, but what do you know, its better than my almost 11 year old desktop!    I went to power it up and saw and heard sparks, then smelt some smoke from the PSU.  it was a 420W thing which had served it well as its first purpose.  I need something to replace it for a while till I finally buy an actual new one for me. 

So whats a decent PSU for a desktop that will be doing games and not much else, might run 2 HDDs and not much else.  For arguments sake, here is a local place I could get stuff and they have an easter sale on now https://www.pbtech.co.nz/category/components/psu/shop-all?fs=16228746

I'm a bit broken now, she dated a friend of mine in uni.  Their relationship didn't last but we had a friendship that went on about 18 years.  I knew she was in hospital, I knew there were multiple problems, but I did not expect this. It wasn't covid stuff though.  Someone you could talk to about anything.

Fuck 2020.

I've been thinking after I get these assignments out the way I need to talk to an EAP service about a few things.  That just got bumped up the priority list.
