Why don't you just hang around so we don't have to update you?  :P

I still work at the same shitty place. I'm still divorced, single, suffering from crippling social anxiety, and suicidally depressed most days and generally only manage to live through the day by virtue of being too chicken to do anything about it. :P

Other than that, things are peachy. And I bought a brand-new car last week, which is the first time in my life I've had a car less than 10 years old, so I'm pretty stoked about that.

I mostly just play video games and exist.

How bout you? Haven't seen you on Fartbook in quite a while.

You don't play games anyway. :P

Honestly, I haven't even half filled my 500gb SDD. I feel like 1 TB is overkill, but would rather have the space in case I need it.

I think I have a Win7 DVD around somewhere. Can you upgrade for free still?

I don't think so. But there's a better option anyway:

1. download the Win10 installation media
2. Create your bootable Win10 DVD or flash drive
3. After you build new PC, use this to install Win10
4. When it asks for an activation key, use your Win7 CD key and it should activate just fine

Microsoft doesn't SAY this will work. But it does. It was working in October 2017... It was still working in January 2018 ... Still working in March 2018. (edit: Another one from May 31, 2018!)

Basically, it looks like MS is being pretty dang generous about Win10 activations...

Now is the list of teams mostly likely to win (in order of likelyhood):
  • Brazil

Color me shocked.

Why I don't pay attention - it's always the same winners. ;) [/list]

I saw a lot about story.

But I agree that it's probably not for you.

It is, however, for me. :D While playing Conan Exiles with my kids, a bunch of times we were like "Wouldn't this be awesome in the Fallout universe?" And lo! It came to pass!

The more info that comes out about this, the better it is sounding. I am hype. Very hype.

Oh, also. Do you have a Win 7 or Win 8 DVD sitting around? You can still fully install (not just upgrade) Win 10 using 7/8 keys, and save yourself the $117 you're spending on that...

I just bought Last of Us Remastered for the PS4 today. I already have it for my PS3 but I figured if I'm going to go ahead and play it now I might as well get the pretty-fied version!

Looking forward to LoU2.

Well, I'm excited.

Preordered it a while ago. No regrets. Now just waiting for my beta access key. :D

I responded in the E3 thread but it's not "multiplayer enabled" - it's a full-on, 100% multiplayer-only game. Not quite an MMO, but along the lines of Conan Exiles/Rust/etc. Several dozen players per server. There are no NPCs anywhere except robots. Every human character you run into will be another player. You're all from the same vault. Kill each other nicely!

2tb? Hell, I burned through 3. I had to buy a 4tb drive last month. To go with my 2 SSDs and my other 1tb drive...

How do you survive with so little space? lol

Other things...So is Vampyr good?  I saw that it got released and I am intrigued.  Looking forward to DOTNOD's add on pack.

First I have heard of Cyberpunk...something to look at.

Feeling optimistic about FO: 76.  Still hearing rumors about it being more multiplayer enabled and I am not sure what that means.

Vampyr is awesome. It has some stiff animations and the combat isn't great to start off (it gets better as you gain more skills/abilities), but the atmosphere, voice acting, story, setting, investigations, etc are all really, really good.

You never heard of Cyberpunk before? :o  Not even Cyberpunk 2020, the RPG from the 1980s? Man, you missed out.

FO76 isn't "multiplayer enabled" - it's 100% online. You can go it solo if you want, but there will always be other players around. Probably trying to kill you. There are no NPCs anywhere (except robots). Every living human you see will be another player.
