Just curious how many of you had this in the past, or are still into it now?

I had a decent collection in my childhood which I still have at my dad's house. I haven't shown it to my kids yet as I dont' want it trashed.

For fathers day I was given a new bucket of bricks for myself and the girls. I put together a few bits and gauged how constructive or destructive they were.  They had a lot of fun and generally were better than I expected.

I managed to get a set for free recently and built it with my 5 year old who surprised me with her level of concentration.  I helped her to find bits and we did it together. Once it was built they have been quite good.  Of course some looser bits come off, but they tell me and we put it back on.  It doesn't get thrown around.

It DID end up in the rubbish bin at one point, but that was a misunderstanding with my 3 year old.  I was trying to tell her to get some half eaten food and put that in the bin.  The food was still on the table.  I managed to rescue the lego and it wasn't dirty  :o

I've now bought a rather large model for Christmas time and feel the Lego bug has bitten me again big time.  I'm thinking about getting my old stuff moved here when I can too.

I was also thinking about why I stopped in the first place.  I remember being told as a kid, that kids hit a certain point and "stopped playing with toys".  Also there was different times, when everything was fun and everyone wanted it.  Then later the peer pressure if you admitted you had LEGO you were basically a lepper.

I compared that to my time gaming where I've never stopped and thought "I'm too old to play games on my computer now".  I remember a surfer type guy in my university hostel making a comment "you play games? thats just not cool man" but at that point I wrote him off as someone i'd be generally friendly to, but try not to interact with again.

I guess as an adult I will be using it differently than before, but since I have kids I'll be "playing" with it when its built.

Diablo 3 / Re: D3 on PS4

My point is more that even though the game works on the PC it was primarily designed for the console.

*gets off your lawn*, however that comment above has been salt in the wound since May 2012. Imagine how a Blizzard North Diablo3 might have been where there might have been monsters with immunities.  No more get higher DPS and take them out.

So it looks nice, plays nice, but the underlying game is do a tonne of damage, and the next patch will add an extra 0.  This means with patches/gear creep you can then do a few higher paragons and Greater rift levels than before.

I was trying to find things to keep my interest up, cubing all the uniques, getting achievements but I've got myself maxed on game_burnout 1 at the moment.

I have been watching a LOT more people running Diablo2 though on Youtube ..

As well as the sales already up to 50% off, I see they are now offering the start of the game as a demo and you can pick up your progress when you buy.  I haven't seen this before in the series.  Wondering if sales are bad after the initial silliness of preorders.

At this rate I'll wait for game + DLC at an even greater amount.  That and not sure how long till PC will go again ..

So tonight computer slows down and restarts and makes rAM noises again.

Shit... I turn it off. A bit later it is fine. Till it tries to boot the os and goes to repair mode.

I remember I made a system restore point after my previous bad experience.  But this now canít fucking find it.

Fml. Too late at night to deal with this

my only grinding was for achievements.  I felt satisfied to have done it all and seen it all, then I didn't want to do it again :P

I got a paladin to finish normal last night. He will one day use multi auras

I fired it up as well.  I found I had 2 characters in normal with my uber levelling gear.  A paladin who one day wants to have multi auras was pushed through Diablo and is leveling in act 5 before the ancients now.  A druid who will use Armageddon finished the 2nd half of act 2.

and GG on the stormspire.  As you say, for someone who was around in the 1.09 days, that will ALWAYS be extra special to read on the ground.  The fact it is now one of the most unusable TC87s .. that's something else ;)  Just hope you don't mull over the fact it could have been something better

Personally if I got a console, I'd only do it for stuff that isn't out on PC and won't be.  Sure sometimes an awful PC port comes out, but one of the only things I'd be tempted to get is Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2.

I'm very grumpy thats the only way we can see it, and also that they aren't doing a GTA 6 (yet).

I blame Tim.

He goaded me to play Rise of the Tomb Raider in Extreme Survivor Mode.  Just finished it.  Don't do it, not that I am really worried that you would.  The game play was a bit tougher than Survivor Mode.  The annoying thing is that if you die you go back to your last campfire.  For the most part this is not that big of a deal.  There are a couple points though were you have a long quest, followed by a battle, followed by hard jumping or quick time events.  It is the last thing that is miserable.  Screw that up and you have to go back to the beginning are do the whole thing again.  The biggest pain as the final battle which ends with some quick time events against the boss Konstantine.  I did that several times.  I got really good at defeating the helicopter.

Well I am done with Tomb Raider until the next one comes out in September.  Can't wait for that one.

Oh...another annoying side affect is that my Steam Profile was using the rare achievement display.  It would showcase the rarest achievements that you have done.  Because I did this all my achievements that are showing up there are for Rise of the Tomb Raider.  For what it is worth, the only 0.7% of players have the Extreme Survivor Mode achievement.  Gone are the other fun ones I had, like Zombie Chopper from HL2.  Ah well.  I need a new showcase (again, not that anyone ever looks at those things).

I blame Sssith for inspring me.  I'm up to the helicopter bit, but I've only had one failed attempt so far.  I've pretty much done 100% of everything else apart from some baba yaga documents.  I think I'll see if I can get some last upgrades.  I know I'm not too far off, and like Sssith, not looking forward to the QTE which got me in the noob difficulty last time.

I would recommend others give it a go.  Dying at a jumping puzzle or combat and having to go back to the campfire does suck but I've got this far.

So I've seen a few things so far even though we mostly share a love of the same game (at one point in time)
1) Not all of us game on mobile
2) We are all into different things
3) Not one of us is into a Diablo clone on mobile  ..

This is from the man who likes good cock punching like getting every achievement in Diablo3.  It surprises me he hasn't finished yet

Based on all this immortal nonsense, I want to know what games you play, and how they are different, or the same as what you play on a real computer/console.

For me I have paid money (from a voucher) for the Rockstar pack.  This is GTA3, VC, SA, China Town Wars, LCS, Max Payne, Bully.  This represents a bunch of games I've played to death on PC, and some I had never had access to before.  However its difficult to find time to do it properly and the controls and screen aren't ideal.

I also bought The Talos Principle on ios.  Loved that game, haven't done much in iOS yet.
Also bought Bridge Constructor Portal which I don't have on PC yet.  I haven't got into this much.

Then there is the stuff I got as free apps, but am addicted to:

Hill Climb Racing 2: Physics based driving game, upgrade cars, race against ghost cars of other people.  I've played this mostly every day for over a year.  I enjoy the skill and buy/upgrade it all.    Have not spent a cent in it.

Mini Golf King: a PVP game, you put in virtual cash to play a game, winner takes all. If you aren't careful you have no cash and can't play more.  Upgrade your kit with time, has good social elements.  Skill and luck are required to play.

More recently got into another golf one "Golf Battle", its different and "Merge Plane" an idle game.

I've tried lots of things, but most get trashed.
