The Argument Chamber / Re: Zimbabwe and Mugabe
« on: Today at 01:27:45 PM »
I wonder what will happen with all those voters born 1/1/1900 who helped Mugabe to all those electoral victories.  They could be the swing vote.  Good to hear the news is around the world.  Not so surprised its in the UK considering the UKs history there.

I heard someone had an idea of letting the white farmers back onto the land, as
1) they know how to actually take farm
2) They would be productive

I'm not saying, put them back there and keep them there.  But when your economy is that broken, you need to start with getting the basics right and keep them going.

Serious question, how much "inventory" do you have?

In the last few years some online and brick and mortar stores have started to do this as well, but its no where as crazy as what you'd have.

I think I might pick up Doom which I see for under $12 US and maybe Fallout4 for the same price.

If this was just some game set in the SW Universe that might all be fine.  The fact the most wanted characters are out of reach for a fun/arcadey game is the gripe.

If Vader/Luke weren't in the game the discussion would probably be quite different.  It would be similar to Lemmings mention of just crates providing bonuses.

Imagine next month, we finally get to see Episode 8 in the theatre, we finally get to see Luke talk to Rey, then be told, you can hear him talk if you give us extra cash, or sit through a bunch of other content.  They'd never do that (I hope).  But a game is different to them.

I'm not sure if this is making the news where you are, but after 37 years of corruption, a dictator has been forced to stand down.  He did many things wrong in his overlong time holding onto power. 500 billion% inflation at its peak is the type of stuff you'd only hear in movies.  At 93, he has lived far longer than he probably should have.  But when you can take state funds and fly yourself to the best hospitals around the world that is to be expected.

Who knows if his replacement will be an improvement.  I just know that I've been waiting for this day for a LONG time!

The graphics look pretty good for 1996.  I love GoG for having stuff I can't get anywhere else.

Infernal machine, look for a friend who can take you in there!  Some of them ask for T1, the next chapter two of them are T10.

Ok, you raise a bunch of points I wasn't aware of.  I just saw people saying "I pay full price for a game, and then you lock Vader and Luke.  You want me to pay real money or invest 40 hours PER character to unlock.  Whoever came up with that decision made a big error.  I see people mention the most downvoted comment ever on reddit came from a post defending why they did this.

So, this sounds like a major PR disaster, anyone bought games affected by this?  I hear as well as the new Star Wars it was in the new Need for Speed, but patches are making it "not as bad"

Good progress Sssithy!! What is your last task for chapter 4?  Having the 6 piece set bonus instead of 4 is normally a big increase.    Keep in mind there are normally 4 full sets, and there is normally at least one crap one.  So play your strong one until you start getting other crusader sets!  They will take a bit, but not too long and you'll have all 4 sets available.

to follow you around and pick up gold for you.

This is awesome and means you can focus on the killing and picking up big things

GG on the keywardens, you are right, at that point they are a bit of a challenge but as you found, you can get them.

In terms of the Vambraces, you have 2 options to get set/legendary items outside of random drops or friends finding stuff and dropping it for you.
1) Get a Rare version of the item, and there is a cube recipe to upgrade to legendary.  This is best for upgrading weapons due to good value for resources
2) You will be getting blood shards (another resource) spend those at an NPC called Kadala.  You gamble for an item type, you'll get either blue, yellow, green or gold!

Its just a matter of time and you'll get the gear you need to make your build nice and strong. Then you work on rerolling a thing, or finding stronger/ancient versions of your gear.

When you do have Best in Slot (BiS) gear, it doesn't mean you have the best, with the various types of attributes, let alone the rolls, you might have the best vambraces, but it had all the wrong mods.  Later you might get one with all the right ones and get a massive increase.
