I hope the Dems come up with a whole heap of great candidates, not just 2 possibilities.  I hope they pick someone with a real chance of getting there.  I also hope there are some other republications who put their name in (if they can) :P

Just wondering if anyone out there uses this to help contribute to someone/thing you enjoy?  I think its a pretty cool way to give funds pretty directly to someone you like, and get some extra rewards for it.

I haven't myself, but I see it growing, but luckily people aren't locking the base stuff behind it, more optional extra stuff

You are welcome that I pushed you.  For only 44 more Steam EXP you can get to level 20 and get a new profile showcase.  The easiest will be to do the last of the 3 community ambassador tasks.

1) Post a status to your friends
2) View a guide in the Steam Overlay

Those 2 are very quick to do, you might get the new badge just on that. Otherwise you need

3) Post a video.  Thats a bit more complex, you need a youtube account, link to steam account.  I think I had short thing of serious sam.

You can get a showcase where you CHOOSE the achievements you want to show off.  The "rare" ones aren't the best depending which games you might play and the overall community.

Anyway, for your next challenge ;)  You have quite a few story based DLC things you could do, eg the Blood Ties bit

I see you playing some Borderlands 2, here are some non grindy things to try for:

Goliath, Meet David
Allowed a Goliath to level up four times before killing him
That one can happen normally and is both fun and very freaky ..  RECOMMENDED!

Then, go visit the places, do the things, hit level 50 at least :P

I just found out there is a campaign in the UK to get American Idiot to the top of the charts with a certain American Idiot about to visit.   I also like the massive orange baby blimp in a diaper with an iphone that will be flying around :)

Every now and then I'd get some gaming nostalgia, but this is close to 30 years ago.  A game I played in primary school on Apple II computers I believe.  Initially I remembered the idea of it, and while searching for it, I found MANY other people who had found memories and were also looking at various times.  It was kinda cool to be a part of that.  Then I finally found the name.

Raft Away River

Then recently I thought about how there are websites where you can play old games in your browser.  After a quick search I had it working!

So much nostalgia!  At first I was a bit disorganised, but had another go and finished it on the basic difficulty.  There was once a time I had memorised all the commands and what they did :)  This might have been one of the first games I really enjoyed.  You have 2-6 players and randomly get 2 out of 4 items.  You need to communicate and plan to not all die :)    It is a basic game as its designed for kids as edutainment, but great trip down memory lane.

Now if only I could find this 2d platformer game we also played around the same time. I have a vague memory what it looked like .. its not much to go on

I'm getting towards a new normal.  I saw a nurse on Friday and she was very happy with what she saw.  At times I still get some pain, but its mainly now if I forget pills often enough.

On a different matter and something annoying, my main computer won't turn on.  It had a long beep, then 3 short beeps.  Over the last month it hasn't really been used much apart from idling for a few days earning some cards.  This really annoys me.  Its a big heavy bastard to move so I'll have to be careful I don't hurt myself when I move it.

Yesterday on a frustrating/lighter side of things, we got a phone call about 8:45am. I expected it to be the mother in law.  It was some guy asking for my wife.  She got breakfast for the kids, then went for a nap.  I woke her up (she'd slept through an alarm) and she asked if it was her mother.  Turns out it was her work and she was meant to be there at 8am and they were thinking WTF?  She thought she was starting 7pm.  She is in a rush to get out the door, and now I've got to unexpectedly look after the kids by myself all day on a wet cold wintery day with not much food around.  We got through the day, made a big mess of the lounge, and I introduced my 4 year old to plants vs zombies.  She was a bit fan of the venus fly trap, and got annoyed if I didn't put it in the roster :)

I saw kasferatu saying he wants a Belgium England final where Belgium wins.  I really hope Russia lose. I donít trust them and as they say, when someone who has played an entire game is out sprinting someone who just got into the game itís not a good look. And they are only ranked 70 in the world.

Narsica, that is rough, especially a younger sibling. Were they similar cancers or different?  When there is some family history it gets people a bit worried.

Great news on the job front!

Someone was saying some mid October date is when it all starts off.  Better than than April 20 I guess ;)

Is there any testing or banning it for certain things, you mentioned driving, certain jobs are better sober etc.  There is talk here about drug testing (of many forms) as inhibited drivers will have extra risks, but are the tests accurate, safe etc.
