Yeah, patch 1.13 back in 2010 boosted the rune drop rates by about 2.5x-4x, based on the drop calc numbers.  It's not a huge difference really, since that only brings down the odds of a random monster dropping a Ber rune for example from about 1 in 10 million to 1 in 4.4 millon (depending on the monster obviously), and a Zod went down from 1 in 60 million to 1 in 15 million.

Have the drops been improved.  I forget the rune hierarchy but I think my best was something like an Ist.

Nice finds!  Yeah, RNG is funny sometimes.  Haven't found either Titan's Revenge or Thunderstroke so I can't realistically make a good Javazon.  Still no Harlequin Crest, Skullder's Ire, Oculus, Stormshield, or Tal's Adjudication, so my Sorc gear is somewhat limited.  Oh, but out of the 18 unique amulets I've found, I now have THREE Seraph's Hymns.  I started doing Pindle runs the other night after having gone maybe a month since even thinking about them (mostly doing Baal/Meph/Tunnel runs with my Barb), and the FIRST run he drops Shadow Dancers, the SECOND run he drops Messerschmidt's Reaver (dropped another one about 60 runs later).

I've been doing Countess, Summoner, and Nilithak runs for keys over the past few days.  I did 3 more uber runs and got a barbarian and 2 amazon torches.  I'm hoping I get a paladin torch next.  I also found another IK set armor while doing a random Pit run.  That's my 3rd one of those.  Still no Skulder's Ire, Arreats Face, or Homunculus, among other things.  That's RNG for you.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, I found some more noteworthy runes...1x Pul, 1x Um, 2x Mal, and 1x Sur.  That was my third Sur rune I've found in PlugY.  I used the other 2 to make a Ber.

All the low level stuff.  Nice, always a need for that.  I generally work higher up in the web services area, though certainly not in a gaming company.  I have been tempted to apply a couple of times but the 24-7 nature of the world is not for me.  Glad the new gig treats their people well.  I have heard good things about Montreal.  I was looking into it because my son was/is thinking of apply to a school near there; Bishop University.

I went back to playing Axton.

I am going to try to streamline leveling.  The goal is to mainly do just the main quests on first and second play through.  I am going to try to level up by doing certain runs.  The target is fifty by the end of TVHM.  At that point I will settle in for a fuller play through.

I will probably play Brick more, when I do I will need to level him more.

Very nice.  I have always wondered about the culture of gaming companies.  They have always seemed all encompassing.

I hope you get to work on some fun stuff.

Well, video game companies have a reputation (which I got to confirm myself through many former colleagues) of being far from stellar work conditions. And after having a few friends and former colleagues saying Ubisoft was actually quite different, I decided to give it a try... and must admit that's where I am pleasantly surprised. They really do take care of employees, which tend to make people quite motivated and happy to be there, first time I see a company where "company culture" doesn't feel false and forced. Of course, I've just been there for a month and a half, so still in the honeymoon phase, but quite impressed so far.
As for inclusiveness more specifically, yes, it certainly is a very cosmopolitan and heterogenous environment. Still a lot of progress to be made (it's still a depressingly low proportion of women for example), but farther on the way than most tech companies I've worked for so far.
As for what I work on, I'm not on a game specifically, I work on low level libraries used for multiplayer : netcode, game logic replication, connectivity, stuff like this :)
